About the Role is a new and growing fast-paced, innovative online custom framing startup based in New York City. We are revolutionizing the custom framing experience by combining it with the ease of online ordering, affordable pricing, and a fine selection of custom-made frames that will be delivered to the customer's door. is seeking a Facilities Tech to work alongside our Picture Framers to cut mats, mouldings and acrylic, mount art, and finish and package frames. Apart from assisting our Picture Framers, the job will require machine troubleshooting and maintenance. You must have strong problem solving skills and light electrical skills, and basic knowledge of metal and wood fabrication. We hold our products to the highest quality standard and put customer experience above everything else, so extreme respect for art, materials, and the custom framing process is vital.

This is a full-time position. We need applicants to start immediately.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Picture Framer and assist them on tasks as needed.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems throughout the facility.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, air compressors and PLC.
  • Ability to read a volt meter, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of metal and wood fabrication.
  • Thorough knowledge of preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and possess the ability to set schedules and ensure PM's are performed on a regular basis.
  • Completes maintenance requests by scheduling; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the shift work performed to the Facilities Manager each day.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other assignments directed by the Facilities Manager.


  • At least 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Proven Lead or Supervisory experience in a maintenance role.
  • Ability to work late or early hours as needed.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical or Trade School Certification preferred.
  • 2 or 4 year manufacturing maintenance degree a plus.
